“God said to me: Your
task is to build a
better world.
I answered: How can
I do that?
The
world is such a large,
vast place, so
complicated now,
and I am so small
and useless. There’s
nothing I can do. But
God in his great
wisdom said: Just
build a better you.”

I celebrate myself,
and sing myself,
And what I assume
you shall assume,
For every atom
belonging to me as
good belongs to you

the poem the Song of
Myself

Strange is our
situation here upon
earth. Each of us
comes for a short
visit, not knowing
why, yet sometimes
seeming to divine a
purpose.

what I am, I become
what I might be”

“Be that self which
one truly is.”
